Brief Answer:
Dysgeusia..bad taste

Detailed Answer:
Hi
welcome to HCM AND THANKS for putting up the query
there can be variety of reasons for bad taste like
dental plaque, oral infection, acid reflux, tobacco chewing, caries, any chronic medication
if you have any of these please tell me
For now start using hexidine mouth wash 4 to 5 times daily or after every major meal
brush your teeth twice
take vitamin c 500 mg daily once only
do saline gargles
drink plenty of water not in a single go
Omeprazole that you are already taking, you can continue with that, it is not known to cause any bad taste
if you have any further questions, you are always welcome

I forgot to mention I have a lap band from bariatric surgery 3 years ago. Could that have something to do with this?
