Please give additional information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/58 - very sore back - as if done 1000 sit ups - soreness going around stomach ... wants thoughts ...

My thoughts as per the short history you have provided:
The commonest cause I can think of is either Neurological involvement or muscular.
Less common is ureteric colic and so on.

Please give additional information for me to assist you further,
- Since when is the problem prevailing?
- Is the pain spasmodic or continuous?
- Is it one sided or on both the sides?
- Any associated symptoms like nausea, vomiting, bloating. loose stool, constipation, urinary trouble of whatsoever nature?
- Any history of trauma to the abdomen or back?
- Any skin rash?
- What is the type of pain- burning/spasmodic/continuous or so?

Brief Answer:
Nervous or muscular

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your feedback.
The pain seems to be due to neuralgia or muscular.
I would advise you the following:
Clinical evaluation and actual examination by a General Surgeon preferably.
You may need an MRI of the spine if the cause is found to be neurological, the muscles can also be evaluated by the same MRI.
Clinical examination helps to rule out hernia, any muscle mass, fibromyalgia and so on.
I hope this answer helps you. Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
