What Causes Small Patch Of Irritated Rash On Penis Shaft?
Question: I initially notice discharge from my penis about two weeks ago. I was checked out and tests for chylamdia and gonneraha were both negative. I was placed on anti-bac and am still having slight discharge. I have now noticed a small patch of irritated red skin on my penis shaft. It is very small and does itch but there is no blisters etc in the area. The area is a bit "raised" to the touch. I have had psoriasis on my penis before but I am concerned as four days prior to this issue I had unproctected sex. Is this herpes?

Without blisters and ulcers, Herpes infection could not be diagnosed. So that possibility was ruled out. Regarding the palpable patch on your penis, it could be due to psoriasis as you had this problem already.
Regarding the urethral discharge it is very much possible to miss the diagnosis from a smear examination.
1. Confirm whether it is coming from urethral opening. ( some other penile discharge can occur due to organisms other than Gonorrhea or Chlamydia).
2. Whether the discharge contains pus cells or not ( Absence of pus cells ruled out any infection).
3. If infection confirmed, the smear can be sent for Gonococcal culture test and blood for Chlamydial test.
Have you completed the course of antibiotics? If not yet complete and see the result.
