Question: I have slight numbness in my left leg. It is a small area on the front interior section below my knee (midway down) but above my ankle. Any thoughts on what is causing this?

A small area of numbness on your leg can be caused by an injury to the area or a mild nerve root compression at the level of lower spine. Since only a small area is affected a nerve related cause is likely.
Usually it recovers on its own in few weeks.
In case the numbness is associated with muscle weakness then do consult a neurologist for a detailed examination and investigations to detect the cause.
