What Causes Sharp Shooting Pain On The Lower Side Of The Brain?

Question: I have a sharp pain starting in the lower right side of my brain/ and shooting up to top of head on the
right side. It lasts just a few seconds.. No blurring of vision except for the time the pain is there.
What causes it and what can I do to treat it? thank you >> CRO

Probably trigerminal neuralgia!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is often caused by trigerminal nerve affection. Treatment is often with anticonvulsant medications such as Carbamazepine. I'll suggest that you discuss this with your doctor for a script. If medications fail, then surgery would be considered.
