What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Back, Fatigue And Headche?
Question: I'm experiencing a sharp pain in my lower back on the left side. It started last night and resumed today (no pain overnight). It comes and goes and doesn't seem to be associated with activity. It is not muscular. The pain lasts for only a few seconds but is very painful. Should I be concerned? Any idea what could be causing it? The only other symptoms I have are fatigue and a dull headache. Thank you for your help!
Brief Answer:
may be a pinched nerve.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/47 - taking Aleve - sharp pain in lower back - left side - comes and goes - lasts for only few seconds - but very painful - started last night - was not present overnight - resumed today - accompanying fatigue and dull headache -
This type of pain can come in nerve pinching as you have explained to last for few seconds, comes and goes and does not seem to be associated with muscular activity. Secondly it was not present overnight.
I would advise you to continue Aleve, take strict bed rest so that the area gets rest and may get adjusted on its own and you get symptom-free.
