Brief Answer:
Menopause-age-related;oscillations in blood pressure to consider...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You are reporting to:
- experience facial flushing
- extreme sweating suddenly

around 10 times/day for the last 2 weeks.

I have noted that you are 48 years old, the age of menopause where there are oscillations in sexual hormones.

On the other hand, you are reporting to be taking:
- atenolol
- smoking half a pack/day
- various multivitamins: I need to know since when you started these vitamins.

Oscillations in blood pressure (bp) is also another reason for facial flushing. I advise to monitor your bp and heart rhythm (hr) and record the results.

Smoking can be an aggravating factor to both menopause hormonal changes and bp oscillations. That's why I highly recommend to think over quitting smoking.

Hope it was of help!

Brief Answer:
Hormonal changes after hysterectomy will take few more years to occur...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Thank you for providing additional information.

Taking into account your medical history, then, all the facial flushing you are experiencing is due to hormonal changes. Although one ovary was left after hysterectomy, it has still continued working and providing the hormones you needed.

However, at your age, such hormones will not get further produced and the clinical presentation is with facial flushing and increased heart rates.

It will take another few years until the hormones will get totally reduced until non being secreted anymore. During these years, you'll have the same symptoms, sometimes harder as this time, some other times milder.

I usually advise my patients to:
- avoid eating foods high in calorie
- take calcium and vit.D supplementation
- be more physically active
- take chamomile tea

to reduce the symptoms.

Hope they will also help you!
