Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have asked you the following details in order make a sound clinical impression -
1)Is your headache episodic or persistent? If episodic, how frequent are the episodes and how long does each episode lasts?
2)Is it unilateral(on one side of the head-right or left) or bilateral?
3)Is it associated with nausea?Any history of vision abnormalities?
4)Does it increase on exposure to light or sound?
5)Does the headache improve with sleep? Are there some specific precipitating factors like stress, sunlight, some food items, alcohol or smoking?
6)Any history of loss of consciousness?

Waiting for your follow-up query with above details.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)

Brief Answer:
Tension type headache.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

In view of details provided by you, this headache appears to be 'Tension type headache'(TTH) or Stress headache, rather than Migraine.

I suggest you to start doing some regular mental relaxation exercises like meditation/yoga.This may prove to be beneficial.
Further,if headache is severe and troublesome, medication can be started. Amitriptyline is the drug of choice in this case.
PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
