What Causes Severe Chest Pain In A Person With Lupus And Left Bundle Branch Block?

Posted on Sat, 11 Jun 2016
Question: Is there a link between Left bundle branch block and PVCs? I have been been diagnosed as having both and waiting to see a cardiologist. Also many, many dizzy spells a day and face flushing assuming this is during PVCs. Can both of these issues just be a pain, but harmless?
Im a 41 year old active woman. Also have Lupus and Hughes Syndrome. Was in the ER 6 months ago due to very low potassium requiring an IV. Have since been seen by a nephrologist and kidney issues have been cleared. Also want to know if there is any risk of travel while I am waiting to see the specialist.

Brief Answer:
You may travel while you are waiting for the specialist

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

First of all LBBB isn't a disease but an ecg findings that it's not necessary related to heart disease. Other examinations are needed to confirm/exclude any cardiac problems

Secondly PVC in a patients with a normal heart shouldn't be considered problematic.

These are the facts why it's essential to see a cardiologist. If you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations:
- cardiac echo
- hormonal balance including thyroid hormones.

For the moment you shouldn't worry about these findings. They aren't typical for cardiac patients and you may travel while you are waiting for the specialist.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
