Question: From my throat and chest audible rumbling and crackling sounds can be heard.
What causes this? I had a sinus infection last week with a temp of around 99.5 and much pain in the facial bones, especially around the eyes.

But if you do not, then I would recommend a few other simple steps:
+Sips of warm water through the day to help promote expulsion of phlegm out, so make sure you cough voluntarily every time you feel like there is some sputum or phlegm in your throat
+Get an expectorant: It should be easily available at any medical store over-the-counter; any expectorant syrup shall do the job
+Mucolytic syrup: Containing acetylcyteine, this syrup will break down the mucus formed in your upper respiratory tract clearing it, making it easier to breathe and also getting rid of the rumbling sound
