What Causes Right-sided Swollen Vein In Abdomen?
Question: I have a swollen vein on the right hand side of my abdomen. Got a spider bite weeks ago in the area. I'm wondering if it could be related and what I should do about it. It has been this way for a week now.

On most cases this is just inflammatory reaction on bite and it should improve within 2 weeks. There is no specific treatment. Only if there is spreading redness, fever, pus collection or significant pain then you need antibiotic treatment and apply cold compresses.
