Question: I'm 63 years old and having right side abdominal pain. Some bloating, no appetite, sharp pain worsens when I cough. I went to the ER on Christmas morning and was told it could be an angry gallbladder. No one was available to do an ultrasound, sent me home with 2 scripts, and scheduled to come back tomorrow morning for the ultrasound. Yesterday I developed a temperature, absolutely no appetite and shortness of breath. This morning I am constipated, with darker urine and still no appetite

Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation for cholecystitis

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.

I suppose you should go to ER now, as it could be cholecystitis due to stone in gall bladder initially.

I would recommend an urgent Ultrasound abdomen , that if comes normal you can be send home on oral Pantoprazole and Domepridone.

It looks like medical emergency to me. So, please visit ER.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
