Consideration

Detailed Answer:
hello and thanks for sending the question.

It is not uncommon for individuals to develop urinary tract infection related to sexual intercourse. If this become a frequent problem we sometimes consider using a dose of antibiotic immediately following intercourse to help prevent development of infection.

I would consider discussing this with your primary care providers. One possible solution would be to take a single dose of antibiotic following sexual intercourse.

both of you should otherwise make sure to have complete and comprehensive physical examination as scheduled with your doctors. In your case you would want to make sure your prostate health is optimized. If the prostate becomes enlarged this can predispose you to development of urinary tract infection.

in her case, incomplete emptying of the bladder and sometimes predisposed to infection. Medications can sometimes be used to help make sure the bladder function properly, specifically in empty completely with urination.

Thank you again for sending your question. Please discuss this with your primary care doctors for for the definitive treatment.
