What Causes Redness, Swelling And Pain In Left Corner Of Eye?

Question: Hello, my eye started hurting really bad last night in the left corner. I thought it was a sty but there is not one. It feels swollen and is red and painful. There are sharp burning shooting pains going through it. It's very sore to the touch also. I have a picture. What do you think is going on?

My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
This looks like episclertis,an inflammation of outer layers of eye.There is pain,redness and may be associated with joint problems.
We would be keen to start with local steroid drops for a short while but if they are not available then astringent or anti allergy drops fortified with oral anti inflammatory tablets like ibuprofen and/or pracetamol tab twice a day for 4days will be needed.
You have to take care of stomach issues like acidity with oral anti inflammatory tablets.
