Brief Answer:
I suggest you to undergo a screening test for genital herpes

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist and venereologist).

It is unlikely that you would have contracted genital herpes with just prodromal symptoms but without any history of clinical lesions.
However I suggest you to take a blood test for herpes i.e ELISA for HSV type 1 & 2 (IgG and IgM) for a confirmatory diagnosis.
