Brief Answer:
mucosal irritation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

The most common causes for red spots on soft palate and cheeks are irritation of the mucosa due to hot foods, spicy or acidic foods.
In this case they may last up to 1 week.

I would suggest to avoid foods that can make the spots worse.
Do salt water gargle several times a day or use a antiseptic mouthwash.
If the spots doesn't seem to improve or go away for 5-7 days you may need to consult a dentist or your general physician for examination.

I hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
