Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Initially you can go for a stool routine. If there is signs of infection a short course antibiotic and probiotic therapy will make you better.
IBS is usually associated with certain type of food intake. Foods like cabbage family, such as broccoli and cauliflower, nuts, seeds, corn, and popcorn can worsen IBS. Do you noticed anything like that? Do you smoke? Does smoking worsens or improve your condition?
If you have such symptoms and it is present for long time then you should go for a consultation with a gastroenterologist and undergo colonoscopy to rule out what type it is and exclude complications.

If it is IBS there is effective treatment. Drugs like mesalamine is very effective for this condition. Diet also is important. Avoid all irritating foods. For eg; raw vegetable salads are usually irritating. In such case use it after steaming or pureed.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
