Brief Answer:
It usually happens like this with eating unhygienic food !!!

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. I appreciate your trust in this health forum. Being your physician I have thoroughly reviewed your query and can well understand your health worries.

This is due to Gastroenteritis which presents these typical symptoms of diarrhea and/or vomiting and indigestion. Many organisms are found responsible to cause this digestive tract infection. They get entry to the system through mouth. Either contaminated and unwashed hands cause the issue or improperly cooked, unhygienic foods and poor quality drinking water are the main cause.

Bugs get entry to the digestive tract and cause infection there and needs proper management to get rid of the infectious agent. Antibiotics may be needed alongwith plenty of fluids and other medications to aid relieve symptoms.

Why recurrent infection of the digestive tract??
The first step to control this is reevaluate your dietary habits, quality of the drinking water and ensure the quality and quantity of food you eat. Food should be properly washed and cooked for better digestion. Decontamination and avoidance from outside foods is the key. keep a balanced and healthy diet and take plenty of fluids too. It will be fundamental to add here that you need to take filtered, clean drinking water all the time. The digestive system diseases spread through contaminated water too.

As far as medical management is concerned we usually add RIFAXIMIN antibiotic class of medicine for relief of symptoms and to cure infection. Your Physician may prescribe it for you.

For diarrhea IMODIUM can be added to the regimen.
Oral Rehydration Solution is the must have as there is a lot of water and electrolyte loss in such kind of diseases and it requires replenishment.
Proper rest is also needed for faster recovery.

If nothing helps, your physician may refer you to a Gastroenterologist for thorough evaluation and management. He is the personnel trained to treat such issues with success.
