I have taken thyroid test. Thyroid was normal in the report. I'm not under any medication as of now.

From the details provide by you, your BMI is 30.1 which is overweight and you need to lose around 15 to 30 kgs. As you have mentioned that you have irregular menstrual cycles, I feel that it might be due to PCOS. If yes, then losing weight will help you in regularising your menstrual cycles. I hope you have seen a doctor for irregular cycles.

It's actually a very simple process to follow in theory.. but certainly difficult in practice.

A good well balanced low calorie diet is your first step. One that cuts out the unnecessary snacking and eating out (restaurant food is designed to be tasty, not healthy). Our Dietitians here can help you with that. Just ask them to make you a weight loss diet chart and they will help you.

The second thing is exercise. A combination of Cardio exercise and focused muscle building is important, but you should concentrate in Cardio. Join a good gym or seek the help of a physical therapist and you will have the help you need to make an exercise plan that you can stick to.

The key is to make a schedule that you can STICK to in the long run.

Since i'm having a tight schedule with work, I could not turn up to the gym at the right time. So, is it possible to lose weight by doing workouts at home????

Yes, you can lose weight by doing workouts at home. The best exercise considered would be Brisk walking. You must have watched people walking fast in parks with extended arms and legs. You can start it slowly with 15 mins per day and gradually increase it to 45 mins per day. Alternate swimming, running, cycling and jogging can be added.

You can also search on the internet regarding physical exercises which can be done at home.
