Posted on Wed, 2 Jul 2014
Question: Hi,
A few times a day my left lower leg on the front above the ankle feels like it is radiating heat. It doesn't feel hot to the touch, but it is like a radiation for a few seconds. I only notice it when I am sitting down.

What does it mean,

Thank you

Brief Answer:
can be early cellulitis or ligament injury

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have studied your case.
There is probably early cellulitis of leg leading to radiating heat like sensation.
Blood investigation will confirm diagnosis.
Another possibility of lumbar canal stenosis leading to disc prolapse and radiating sensation over ankle.
MRI spine will help in diagnosis.
local ligament injury can lead to such symptoms. clinical examination will help to diagnose it.
I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to ask. I will be happy to answer your question. Take care.
