What Causes Proctocolitis?

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Sep 2016
Question: My 11-year old daughter says she has a strange discharge from her anus for the past two days. She describes it as "bright yellow with red flecks. thick like glue. it stings when she goes to the bathroom." She does not seem to have any other problems or symptoms. She does not have a fever or a stomach ache. She has had issues in the past with constipation and diarreha, but no problems with that at the moment.

Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Don't worry. Most likely reason for such symptoms is proctocolitis or infection of gut. I would recommend you to go for her stool routine examination.
You may upload the report for my reference so that I can advise you the best line of management as per report.

Take care

Sorry but I am confused. Did you write a report that I should upload?
I only see a link that allows me to upload documents to you.

Yes, you need to get your daughter's stool routine test done from a laboratory and then upload the report in the 'upload documents' so that I can review it.
