Brief Answer:
Better to ask for influenza vaccine.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Pneumococcal vaccine is bacterial vaccine which prevents recurrent bacterial lung infection.
Another type of vaccine like influenza vaccine is also available. It is viral vaccine and it gives protection against recurrent viral respiratory tract infection.
And recurrent viral infection is more common.
So better to ask for influenza vaccine.

1 AM NOT TAKING PREDNOSIN. I AM AWARE OF THE LONG TERM EFFECTS TO MY IMMUNE SUPPRESSION QUALITIES OF THIS MEDICATION. I WAS ON A SHORT TERM DOSAGE WHEN MY BROCIAL TUDES WERE VERYINFLAMED. I E.WILL MAKE IT A POINT TO GET ALL THE VACINES AVAILABLE TO ME IN THE FUTUR
YOU ASKED ME WHETHER I WAS TAKING PREDNISON. I ANSWERED THAT I HAD TAKEN A SHORT TERM DOSE OF PREDNISON WHEN MY AIR WAYS WERE INFLAMED. I AM NO LONGER TAKING IT AND ONLY TAKE IT WHEN THE IMMUNOLOGIST FEELS IT IS VERY NECESSARY.
