What Causes Petechiae?

Question: Yes, I recently have been cover with Petteakeyeye. It started on my feet, then ankles, up leg and now on upper torso and arms. What type of Dr, should I see first? I'm on Tamoxifin and other drugs.

Regarding the symptoms as mentioned in your post, kindly let us know about the following:
1. How did the symptoms start & since how many days is it present?
2. Is it associated with pain, swelling, burning sensation, or sensation of warmth?
3. Any recent history of acute illness or injury?
4. Any past history of Hypertension, Diabetes, Bleeding disorder or Thyroid disorder, etc.?
5. Any association with stress, food intake, sleep disturbance or travel?
6. Habit of smoking or alcohol consumption?
7. Reasons for taking Tamoxifen? Since how many days are you taking it? What other medications are you taking along with it?
8. Any other associated symptoms?

Petechiae can occur due to multiple reasons - Infection, trauma, side effects of medications, bleeding disorders, inflammation of blood vessels (vasculitis), malignancy, etc.
A knowledge of the above mentioned facts will be helpful to make a better diagnosis and formulate an appropriate management plan.
If possible, also attach a picture of your lesions/ Petechiae.
