Posted on Thu, 17 Jul 2014
Question: Hi my name is XXXXXXX I'm 24 and I started having severe pain yesterday on my right pelvic, that radiated to my lower stomach lower back and radiated to right leg. The pain is a pulling pain when I'm standing but laying and sitting its a sharp uncomfortable pain even using the restroom it hurts. It was bad last night that I couldn't move my right leg and I limped to the room bc the pain was so bad I took hydro codeine which helped but it's back today. It started after I had intercourse. I had my cycle XXXXXXX 20 but it wasn't really bleeding it was brown tissues for 2 days which really isn't normal. It's a really bad cramps feeling as well

DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your information, following possibilities should be ruled out under the guidance of gynecologist:

- Endometriosis/ Endometritis
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
- Retroverted Uterus, Over weight
- Vaginal or pelvic infection
- Colitis or Peptic Ulcer Disease
- Hormonal imbalance> Poly Cystic Ovary etc.

Here, I suggest you to undergo one pelvic examination along with clinical check up to your GYNECOLOGIST and do relevant investigations like pelvic ultrasound scan, complete hormonal profile, urine examination - Routine & Culture etc.

TREATMENT: Combined hormonal pill, painkiller with antacid, hot water bottle or bag compression, maintenance of genital hygiene, proper lubrication (use water based lubricant only) during intercourse, weight reduction by regular physical exercise, avoid mental stress and take adequate rest. Kindly, consult with your local doctor for complete prescription.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
