What Causes Painful Urination Post An Unprotected Intercourse?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jul 2016
Question: I was recently divorced. I made the mistake of hiring escorts for about a month. Four different girls total. First, I feel guilty and ashamed. All encounters involved protected vaginal sex, and unprotected oral. I recently sought treatment for pain while urinating. I was given a full STD panel, and I am still waiting for the results. She diagnosed me with an NGU based on white blood cells and painful urination. I am worried sick that the results will say I have chlamydia or something. I have no discharge or any other symptoms. Am I likely to have Chlamydia? Could one of the escorts sabotaged the condom. Freaking out. Worried about HIV now as well. I was tested for that, but the encounters happened less than a month ago.

Brief Answer:
Don't get worried as the possibility of HIV infection is unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Brhollowoy,

Welcome to HCM.

You had protected sex with all the escorts and the risk with oral sex is very less then no need to worry about HIV as the possibility of infection is very unlikely.

The possibility of chlamydia infection is also less because the condition is pain less and associated with penile discharge, both of which are absent in your case so we can rule out it. Even if it is diagnosed in STD panel then also nothing to bother much as treatment is available as per syndromic management of STDs.

You also need to get tested for HIV after one month of exposure with 4th gen HIV Duos test to relieve your anxiety as well as to confirm your status. Hope this info will help you. For any further query you can get back to me again.

Thank You

I got my results yesterday and I was negative for syphilis and chlamydia. I was diagnosed with an NGU and was given a two pill antibiotic. I took the meds but I still have pain while urinating. Again, I have no discharge and fear I never had an NGU. My two questions are:

1) do I need to worry about syphilis? Again all encounters happened within a month with the last a week before testing. Sex was protected by condom, oral was not.

2) when should I feel relief from the antibiotic? Actually, pain is worse now but I fear it's because of the swab she stuck in my penis.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
It will take one week time.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXXXX,

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

You can rule out syphilis because it is also painless condition which is not there in your case. For pain take some pain killer like combiflam or ibugesic-plus. It will take at-least one week to be better so don't get stressed, just take your medicines as per the advice and you will be fine soon.

Thank You

My final question and thanks for your patience. Should I try to contact the escorts to say I was diagnosed with an NGU? Again, my results for syphilis gonnerhea and chlamydia were negative. Could I have passed the ngu to others from receiving unprotected oral. Thanks
