Question: Hello Doctor. I am a 25 years old boy and have got married few months back. Since then in intercourse, complete penetration could not be done as me and my wife both experiences pain. My penis's skin scretches and it feels like it cannot be inserted further. Both of us being inexperienced were not able to make it done the right way. Kindly suggest as what should be done for complete insertion and to maintain proper erection.

From the available description it appears to me that your wife getting contraction of outer part of vagina which is making penetration impossible. The condition is called vanishes and need to be treated by psychotherapy as well as medication.

I do not think the medication prescribed to you may help as there is no problem with erection. The medication helps you to achieve erection is there is problem but not your female partner in any sense.

I will request you to see a psychiatrist in your city along with your wife for evaluation and management of vaginismus.
