Brief Answer:
Physical therapy is an option.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

First you need a new clinical and imaging evaluation of your concerns.

A MRI of your lumbar column and nerve conduction study ( EMG) of your lower extremities are needed for this purpose and to evaluate/exclude failed back spine surgery.

Further treatment possibilities should be instituted after these examinations.

Physical therapy with column stretching exercises should help improve your symptoms.

I suggest you to discuss with your treating Doctor above mentioned possibilities.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Is there a possibility that the hardware placed in my back has moved and is pressing on the nerve again?

Brief Answer:
It is a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for asking back.

It is possible that screws used ( if so) to move gradually into pedicle and pinch nerves, but more often after spine surgery when fixation is used, the problem happens one level up or below the levels fixated.

For this reason you need imaging studies (lumbar x-rays and lumbar MRI).

Treatment possibilities are clear after correct diagnosis of your concerns.

Hope I helped you. Wishing you good health.
