Brief Answer:
TO rule out degenerative disc disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Going by description of your pain in waist and gluteal region , possibility of Degenerative disease of Intervertebral Disc needs to be considered and ruled. Diagnosis will depend on thorough clinical examination and confirmed by MRI scan of the Spine. I would suggest you to consult your Primary care physician and discuss with possibility from where the things can be taken forward.

In the meantime i would suggest you the following

1. Strict Bed rest

2. Hot water fomentation to area of pain by either application of hot water bag or cloth soaked in hot water applied intermittently every few seconds for 10- 15 minutes will be helpful to relive the pain and associated muscle spasm

3. Oral analgesic like Ibuprofen or Ketorolac will provide the much need relief. DO add a skeletal muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxazone

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you

'Take Care

Best Regards
