Question: 18 year old son complaining of sharp pains in lower MIDDLE stomach radiating to testicles. Hurts to sit on the commode.

Could be due to infection of Epididymis (Epididmitis) or Testicle(Orchitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your son has pain abdomen and in Testicle. This is mostly due to infection of either Epididymis(Epididymitis) or Testicle (Orchitis).

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Ultrasound Scanning of Scrotum.

In the mean while give him broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefotaxime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily and later on switch on to appropriate antibiotic as per culture report .

Take the prescription from your family physician .

Ensure he drinks more water .
