Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to irritable bowel syndrome (a mild form). It is very common during this period in females. It is one of the components of premenstrual syndrome, coupled with headaches or changes in the mood.

There is nothing to worry about.

Gastroesophageal reflux can not be excluded either, although the symptoms are usually not related to the menstrual cycle and are triggered by eating or bending over.

Gastritis is less likely, especially considering the fact that the symptoms are related to your menstrual cycle and they last just a few seconds.

Anyway, I recommend trying an antiacid or PPI (omeprazole, pantoprazole). If your symptoms are relieved by these drugs, it could indicate possible gastro-esophageal reflux or gastritis.

Otherwise, it it just irritable bowel syndrome or indigestion.

Anyway, no one of the above mentioned disorders is a serious medical condition.

So relax and do not worry about it!

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Best wishes,

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Yes, hunger and anxiety can exacerbate gastritis or gastro-esophageal reflux.

I would recommend taking an antiacid or PPI ( omeprazole, lansoprazole) for this purpose.

But relax! It is not anything to be concerned of!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me!

Best wishes,

Hello!

Considering your age, I would explain that you can feel free to eat and drink whenever you need.

Milk, usually is helpful in case of heartburn (from gastritis).

But, it can trigger irritable bowel syndrome.

So, I would recommend eating in small portions frequently during the day and avoid spicy food.

Your symptoms do not seem to be related to any serious medical condition!

So, relax and do not worry about it.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best wishes,
