Brief Answer:
Get the calf examined if pain persists!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain. It is difficult to tell what the exact cause of this pain is without further evaluation. However, I will recommend evaluation is the pain persists or fails to regress. Should it regress gradually and eventually disappear altogether, I will say ignore and move on.

Continue with the rub. Daily massages would be helpful as well. Avoid excessive daily walks for now.

If persistence, see your primary care doctor for evaluation. Are you taking statins?

I wish you well and available for further exchanges and updates on your progress.
