Question: Earlier this week I had strong pain behind my left shoulder blade and just below it.. It lasted for four days.. Along with that I have experienced constipation. Although I am constipated I have a lot of gas that is accompanied by a clear odorless gas that I am forced to clean up regularly with tissue. Can you explain this please? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Here are a few suggestions for GI and stomach upset.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

In my opinion you have GI upset with stomach issues, Stomach inflammation speciallay lower part of stomach and upper deodenum can cause shoulder blade referred pain.

You need to do two things here.

1) Follow diet and life style changes to cure your GI upset and cosntipation.
2) Cure stomach distress.

Luckily both these things can be done by a simple and almost similar diet and lifestyle change plan.

Here is what i would advise you to do.

1) Reduce weight if you are overweight.
2) Avoid coffee, caffeine, cigarette , alcohol, energy drinks, fizzy drinks (what ever is relevant)
3) Use high fibre diet like whole wheat and XXXXXXX products.
4) Fibre supplements can be used.
5) Drink loads of fluids.
6) Eat more fruits and vegetables less fat and red meat.
7) You can use simple laxative like Cremaffen syrup and see its effect.
8) For stomach you can take Tums or Syrup Gavisvom to control acid.
9) Eat smaller multiple meals instead of binge eating.
10) If this doesnt work in 7-10 days then contact doctor about further treatment options in that case i woule recommend my patients to take PPI (omeprazole 40mg daily) and A prokinetic like motillium

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.
