Brief Answer:
Pain Right Rib Cage.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

Greetings,

After going through your history, I can understand the concern you have regarding the disease condition of yours, my full sympathy is with you.

As per your history you experience pain in right side of rib cage in the center with bloating and shortness of breath, mostly experiencing after drinking beer. You also have high blood pressure, your chest symptoms subsides after stopping beer.

After going through your history I am in the opinion that after drinking beer, you might start having acidity, gastritis or dyspepsia, and this may also induce pain in chest due to excessive gas in the stomach.

I would like to advice you to curtail or rather stop beer, alcohol, or smoking if you are in the habit of.

Since you do have high blood pressure so these beverages may further worsen the condition.

In this situation I generally prescribe my patients with antacids like Syp-Digene 2tsf 3-4 times a day or Tab- Ranitidine 150 mg 2-3 times a day (empty stomach)

Also you are of 55 years so I advice to once get a ECG, Chest X-Ray, and Lipid Profile done and meet a near by doctor (for the status of heart) and chest pain as you have high blood pressure.

Further if the pain increases after taking beer you can proceed with upper GI endoscopy to detect any ulcer in stomach but after consulting your doctor.

You are again welcome if further any query, please do not hesitate to write back.

Wishing you good health and good luck,

Regards,

Thanks.
