Brief Answer:
It is most likely ankle synovitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. I think most probably your mother is having ankle synovitis. In this condition there is pain in the ankle whenever patient is resting but as she walks inflammatory toxins get washed away leading to pain free movement. Before I advised you any further I would like to know little detail about this illness.
1.Since when your mother is having these symptoms?
2.Did she got any investigations like x ray or blood test till now?
3.Is she taking any medicine since long time?
Please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks

She has been having the pain since last one year. Since the pain is bearable and temporary so she has always kind of ignored it.No x-ray or blood test in specific for ankle.Do you recommend something on this front? What could be reason for this and how this can be treated?

Brief Answer:
need some blood tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I would recommend you few tests.
1.ESR, CRP and Ra factor
2.X ray of the ankle
These tests will tell us if there is any arthritis is present. Till you get these tests I would recommend you following.
1.Tablet Etoricoxib one daily.
2.Hot water fomentation.
3.Volini gel local application.
4.CCm tablet daily one.
I hope these steps will be helpful for her. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions.
