What Causes Pain At Penis Tip?

Posted on Fri, 25 Apr 2014
Question: I WAS A HEAVY DRINKER A FEW YEARS AGO THEN ONE DAY I REMEMBER DRINKING A LOT AND MY PENIS STARTED TO BURN VERY BAD AT THE TIP THEN I URINATED OUT SOME BLOOD .THIS WAS ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AND SLOWLY MY PENIS HAS BENN GETTING WORSE AND WORSE. RIGHT NOW I CANT DRINK ANYTHING WITH ACIDS LIKE POP OR JUICE OR IT WILL BURN AT THE TIP OF MY PENIS. ITS NOT REAL PAINFUL BUT IT CAN GET VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I NOTICE THAT I URINATE IN SMALL BITS A LOT. I CAN DRINK SOMETHING AND IT SEEMS IT DOESN'T HOLD IN MY SYSTEM LIKE IT SHOULD.THIS PAIN IS RIGHT AT THE TIP OF MY PENIS AND IT SEEMS TO ALWAYS BE THERE TO SOME DEGREE, FEELS LIKE A NEEDLE STICKING ME.THE PAIN INCREASES OR DECREASES DEPENDING ON MY FLUID INTAKE. I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE RESULT OF SEX BUT ITS THE RESULT OF ALCOHOL BECAUSE I BELIEVE SOME KIND OF TISSUE INSIDE THE TIP OF MY PENIS MUST OF BURST TO CAUSE BLOOD TO COME OUT 4 YEARS AGO AND ITS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE. I NEVER WENT TO A DOCTOR BUT MY URINE WAS TESTED FOR INFECTION LAST YEAR AND IT CAME BACK NEGATIVE. WHAT COULD THIS BE AND WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR SHOULD I SEE OR IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO NOW. ALSO I DON'T DRINK ANYMORE BUT THE DAMAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE

Brief Answer: Detailed below. Detailed Answer: Hello! Thank you for the query. If you have had urine Dipstick test for an infection, please forget it result. To verify if there is an infection (symptoms clearly indicate it), you need someone to look at your urine under the microscope. This is called urine analysis and can be done in a laboratory. It can be urethra infection, or urinary bladder infection. If the blood is in urine and no infection is present, bladder cancer should be ruled out. Please note that for sure your problem is not caused by an alcohol. It does not cause urinary tract problems like infection or bleeding. I suggest you to visit your regular doctor first. Urine analysis and urine culture should be done and proper antibiotic prescribed. If no infection will be found, swab test of your penis should be next and urologist consult. Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions. Regards.

ok when i bleed 4 years ago it was a 0ne time thing I don't remember bleeding anymore does this change anything or could it still be the same results. I know I just need to go and get the better urine test to see what's really going on and that's what I will do but i thought i would just bring up the fact that I only bleed one time.now it just feels sore at the tip and stings.

Brief Answer: . Detailed Answer: It is not bleeding what makes urethra infection most probable. Its your burning at the tip of the penis. This is very characteristic for infection. Blood in urine is additional symptoms which can be present but not necessarily. It all depends where the infection is located. It may happen that the infection was in bladder when the blood was present and has been limited to urethra. Regards.
