Question: Hi. I am 49 years old and have CVID and autoimmune arthritis as well as asthma and migraines. For the past 2 weeks the veins in my arms especially my right arm are green like a bruise and painful to the touch. Is this anything I need to worry about?

Brief Answer:
Need to watch out for infection or thrombosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read your query.

I don't think there is anything to worry. However we need to be careful that there is no thrombosis or vascular problem. If the condition settles in 2 - 3 days, nothing to worry. If it is progressing then you should consult your family doctor rightaway. If the swelling increases then you will need a vascular doppler test done.

The other possibility is any cellulitis like infection in which case you need to watch out for fever or rash.

Regards
