What Causes Orange And Brownish Menstrual Bleeding?

default
Posted on Tue, 5 Jul 2016
Question: Please help me. I usually have a regular 27 to 29 day cycle. I started with very light bleeding this cycle on day 19 and stopped on day 27. I have now started light bleeding again on day 33. It is like a watery red orange and brown colour. I am trying to conceive but pregnancy test is negative I am worried about this unusual bleeding (some days it just like spotting only when I wipe other days a pantyliner will do me all day). My actual period usually lasts 5 days. At first I thought maybe its implantation bleeding but since pregnancy test negative and it been for so long I have ruled it (should I rule pregnancy out?). Please help I am worried sick what is wrong with me.

I am losing weight to try and conceive BMI was 43 it is now 40 and I am changing my diet to keep losing weight. I am worried at being 40 I have left it too late for a baby.

I am under a fertility specialist who says me and husband are healthy and no problems.

Clearblue fertility monitor only ever shows Low and High never Peak is this a problem my Consultant says dont use any predictor kits as it causes stress and they don't always work just to have regular intercourse 3 times a week

Do you think this is a sign of pregnancy although test is negative?Or what is wrong please? I am worried I will conceive as I keep getting this pink/orangey discharge but its not there all the time

I worry about cancer my nana (dads mum) had cancer of the womb and mum had ovarian cancer

Brief Answer:
Not due to pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The like pink or orangish discharge that you are having is likely to be due to a mild hormonal imbalance. This is not suggestive of pregnancy. Repeated negative pregnancy tests also rule out pregnancy.
The spotting can be related to the sudden weight loss also. It is best to start with cyclic hormonal pills to have regular cycles and then try for conception. Do consult your gynecologist for proper prescriptions.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
