Brief Answer:
More information requested....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Acute onset chest pain needs immediate attention. However the cause can range from non serious problem to a serious concern. Without sufficient details, I am unable to comment on the nature and severity of this concern. Accordingly I request for more information.
1. Can you describe this pain - the type of pain and severity (grade it on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most severe pain you ever had)?
2. What other symptoms is associated with chest pain - have you noticed breathing difficulty, neck pain, limb pain with this pain?
3. Are there factors that aggravate or worsen the pain? I am interested to know if you develop this pain while climbing stairs or while running, swimming or strenuous physical exercise
4. Does the pain restrict your routine activity?
5. Do you smoke?
6. Do you have diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol level?

That being said, it would be wise to see a doctor who can record blood pressure and order for baseline ECG, blood sugar and blood cholesterol value.

Hope this helps.

Regards
