What Causes Numbness In Leg From Ankle To Knee?
Question: Please help as I'm not sure if I should go to the Emergency Room. I have a numbness on my right leg from the ankle up to my knee. The numbness is somewhat in my right arm and seems to be traveling up to my nose. I'm not in any pain but the numbness in my leg ls uncomfortable (sort of like a tight sock on it). What concerns me is the numbness now in my nose going up to my forehead gradualling going on the left side. As an fyi, I did have something bite me on my right leg about two weeks ago leaving a round dark circle mark. Although it has dried up the dark circle is still on my leg. Several years ago I did have a bad bout with Sarcoidosis.

One sided progressive numbness is not a symptom of post menopausal syndrome.
If the numbness is progressive or you begin to get any weakness or twitching in any of the areas, it can be the symptom of a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) in which the blood flow to your brain is compromised. A TIA reverses in most cases but may progress to a stroke. In that case quick action in the therapeutic window period makes a difference in the outcome. So if it is persistent, progressive or there are additional symptoms, I think you should visit the ER.
