What Causes Nausea When Diagnosed With Viral Gastrointestinal Infection?

default
Posted on Thu, 20 Jul 2017
Question: Nothing sounds good and everything I think of makes me feel nauseous. Relatively normal bowels, haven't thrown up but feel like I could, sleeping well, managing to eat well but not a lot. But stomach definitely feels totally off. Took an antibiotic for three days (Amoxicillin) for sinus infection about a week ago. Stomach feels rotten and breath mirrors that.

Brief Answer:
Seem like the beginning of a viral gastrointestinal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

What you are describing seems like the beginning of a viral gastrointestinal infection. We will need to see how the symptoms develop though and advice accordingly.

For now, my recommendations are that you drink plenty of fluids and eat a healthy diet avoiding milk, spicy and greasy foods.

Let me know more information as soon as more symptoms develop- fever? Abdominal pain? Vomiting? ect

Looking forward to your follow up question.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
