What Causes Nausea And Low Heart Rate?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Jul 2015
Question: Yesterday morning I woke up normally. After two cups of coffee, I began to feel nauseated. I tried to eat breakfast, but felt like I would vomit. I decided to lay down. After several hours of napping, I tested my heart rate on my smart phone. It was 55. Could this be a sign of cardiac issues?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms doesn't seems related to cardiac issuesbut it's typical for GERD ( acid reflux disease ) that it's not harmful.

However if you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing your symptoms:
- blood work including cardiac enzymes
- chest x ray
- ECG
- Cardiac echo
- abdominal ultrasound

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
