Brief Answer:
It could be antibiotic associated diarrhea of mild protein allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hi....It could be antibiotic associated diarrhea of mild protein allergy.

I have a few questions for you -

1. Did you introduce cow's milk recently?
2. Did the blood in motion start after antibiotics or before giving them?
3. Is there any history of recent introduction of wheat or wheat products?

Please get back with answers and I will be glad to guide you further.

Brief Answer:
This looks like antibiotic associated diarrhoea

Detailed Answer:
Hi....by what you quote this looks like antibiotic associated diarrhoea.

These are my suggestions for you -

1. Stop all antibiotics.

2. Use probiotic containing Saccharomyces boulaardii like Econorm or G-Norm ....1 XXXXXXX thrice a day for 5 days.

3. Use zinc supplements for a total of 14 days.

As he is active otherwise you need not worry. This will get better in another 4-5 days.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
