Brief Answer: Needs further investigation. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. There are a number of causes of pain in the area you describe. However, the black dots in the camode may indicate that your wife is passing blood in her stool. Therefore, she needs to see a doctor for investigation for this. The commonest cause would be hemorrhoids but she needs to have her bowel examined to exclude any problem with her large or small bowel. If this has been going on for a while, she may be anemic and need iron supplements. I hope this is of help to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB FRCA
