Brief Answer:
I can't see any reason to visit the nephrologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

your question is not clear enough. If you're asking if nephrology is the right specialty to handle a urinary tract infection then the answer is no. The nephrologists treat patients with kidney disease like glomerulonephritis or chronic and acute failure.

If the question is about your symptoms and whether the nephrologist can treat them then the answer is no. Lower left quadrant (LLQ) pain can be attributed to the intestine, the female reproductive organs and the urinary tract. The CT scan can distinguish between most conditions. If nothing could be found in CT with IV contrast material then most inflammatory causes can be excluded.

Endoscopy can be utilized to exclude intestinal causes that reside in the lumen.
If no disease diagnosis can be established then Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is the most likely cause. Spasmolytics and diet may help.
The right diet can be a matter of trial and error. Some patients find benefit in using fiber, others may have to avoid it, etc
You'd better avoid gas producing food like legumes and carbonated drinks. Gums and candies may also cause trouble if a high quantity is consumed.

I hope I've helped!
