Question: Had a lower back ache about 2 weeks ago with some pain shooting down my right leg. that has gone away but near the end of the back pain my upper right thigh was achy and there is now a pinpointed random pain on my inner thigh. my dr did feel a small pea sized mass when pressed into the soft tissue area think it was a cyst. i did mention that about 10 wks ago that i got hit with a softball in that area.(yes a painful bruise the size of a sofball formed but is all gone now).dr then mentioned it may be a hematoma and use a nsaid and heat..if still hursts come back in a month ..... why would this be painful now?. male 52 5 10 260

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query carefully and the small pea size swelling could be enlarged lymph node secondary to infection. This may be confirmed by physical examination.
You may have short course of antibiotic like Augmentin beside having drugs like pregablin for sciatica and hot water fomentation.
To help you better please tell me about the range of movement at right hip as compare to left hip.
Hope this suffices.
Take care

Range of motion is just fine in fact walking makes the pain go away.no swelling. Annoying hope to at least find what its not.the soft tissue does not mirror the soft tissue on left side. Thanks for replying
