What Causes Loose Stools, Fever And Joint Pain After A Meal?

Question: Hello,

I had a watermelon last night after the last meal and since morning got lose motions and feeling little feverish and having pain in joints.

Although motions are controlled as I just took tea with slices of bread but feeling feverish, joint pain and less of energy.

kindly suggest some medicines.

Thanks for your query.

Your symptoms looks like you have had an intestinal infection (gastroenteritis). It looks like viral gastroenteritis.

You can take tab. loperamide for loose stools, 2 to 3 times a day for a day. Tab. Dolo 650 for joint pain and fever as and when required. Tab. Pan 40 mg once daily before breakfast.

Take plenty of water, ORS, tender coconut water, buttermilk and curds.
