What Causes Language Development Issues In Hyperactive Kids?

Question: My daughter is 22 months old and she is mild hyperactive. till this age she z not able to speak clearly though there is no issue with hearing. i have taken her for speech therapy. there the rehabilitation officer has prescribed her tablet sizodon 0.5 mg. afterwards i took her to a developmental pediatrician & neurologist who advised me not to give her this medicine as it has several side effects and she z so young. now i am confused as to give her the medicine or not.

For Mild hyperactivity no need to give Sizodon

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Your developmental pediatrician and Neurologist are right. I do not think for mild hyperactivity she needs medications. Just behavioral modification therapy will do and the results will be good.

Hyperactive kids can have some language development issues and need only speech therapy.

I do not personally recommend Sizodon for mild hyperactivity and it is not going to help the speech improvement either.

Plz guide me on what kind of behavioral modification therapy I can do with her considering her age and the background that she z my adopted daughter. She z with me since Sept. 2014.

It has to be designed how to go about after detailed clinical evaluation of how he his behaving.
