Brief Answer:
What antibiotics are you taking?

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. What antibiotics are you taking?
When you started the antibiotics?
Do you have running nose?

In case of coexisting viral infection it may last more. You can also do chlorhexidine gargle , take chewable vitamin C, take throat lozenges and warm fluids like tea with lemon, ginger and honey , warm chicken soup with pepper etc.

If antibiotics is already 3 days and no improvement then it may not be working and in such case you should do a follow up with your doctor to change to another one.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Yes you will need stronger antibiotic.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

Amoxycillin is not that strong antibiotic. It doesn't cover bacteria like hemophilus influenza. Broad spectrum antibiotics like azithromycin or Cefpodoxime with clavulanic acid will be helpful. You can ask your doctor for this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
