Need for info

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through picture of lesion and it seems to be some kind of bacterial infection. A better picture will help in identifying the lesion. I want know some answers before helping you out like.
Is this a single lesion or there are few others?
Is there associated pain or burning sensation or itch?
Any other history of same thing before or diabetes?
Is there discharge from it? If yes, then pus or watery discharge?

Kindly revert back with answers and a more clear picture.

This is a single lesion that seemed to suddenly appear 4-5 days ago. It is on my 8-year old daughter. She says it's not really painful, but is a bit sensitive to touch and seems to really bother her in the mornings after she wakes up. It is a bit itchy, but only a couple of times a day and she doesn't feel a strong need to scratch it. No history of this before and no diabetes diagnosis that we know of. It does not visibly discharge any liqiud though she did say it feels as though it is. I hope this provides you more helpful information. Tanks!h

Infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the follow up. I have gone through another picture of your daughter's lesion. It seems to be a mixed infection (bacterial and fungal) but culture of lesion will confirm it.
Usually these kind of lesion arise from infection of hair follicles. In my patients, i usually prescribed ointments containing antibacterial like neomycin, antifungal like miconazole. These two drugs comes in single ointment with clobetasol.
Local application will help in resolving the lesion.

It is better to consult a local dermatologist for proper clinical examination and prescription.

Hope i have answered your query.
