Question: hi, this is embarassing.
i have been suffering over the past few years
with ibs or something similar. Sometimes I am fine, but today was almost unbearable, I would love to find out what causes the symptoms plus how to never experience these problems again. The worst of these symptoms is my anus feeling irritated after having a bm, feeling painful, itching and burning. Sometimes when i fart, feces come out, they dont go on my underwear, but when i wipe my ass there are feces on it. I need help. This has happened multiple times today.
i drink a lot of coffee, not as much water as i should, i eat egg sandwiches for breakfast, pbj sandwiches for lunch, various items for dinner, some salads, some other fruits and vegetables, i started taking vitamins again. There is a lot of sugar in my diet, i have stopped drinking soda, i do drink some alcohol, i dont smoke. i have stopped drinking coffee in the past, but have been drinking it for the last 10 months or so
in looking at all of the symptoms of Chron's disease, i dont believe i have this

Brief Answer:
Your eating habits are causing the problems

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Having burning in your anus might bbe related to laceration of the mucosa due to constipation.

Now, what you eat is causing such problems to you :
- sandwich or other fast foods will aggravate constipation and anal burning consecutively
- you must be drinking at least 2 litres of water per day
- increase sugar intake is the cause for being bloated. So you must cut off sugar intake
- physical activity will help improve your bowel movements

Next examination of stool for ova / parasites and culture of feces for candida is also recommended.

Hope it was of help!

Dr.Klerida,

Thank you for your response. I have more than one BM a day so it doesnt seem like normal constipation, but I do see that I have symptoms of Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC), such as,
Straining during bowel movements
Incomplete bowel movements, but not the other issues associated with that. I have been drinking a lot of coffee and less water, so maybe reversing that would be good. Other than having the stool tested, what other tests can I take.

Many thanks,
